At Eastbourne Primary School, we use evidence to evaluate and inform our decision making. Our goal is to ensure that all children are making greater than expected progress in their learning, and high levels of student engagement and wellbeing are a key part of ensuring the best outcomes.
Eastbourne Primary School is recognised as a school that helps students make significant progress in their learning through our personalised learning approach. Many students transition to our school and benefit from our personalised teaching approach that helps students progress from their starting point, building their confidence as a learner.
Along with anecdotal records, the school uses a range of sources of feedback on the effect of teaching, including teacher judgements against the Victorian Curriculum, NAPLAN assessments and regular school-based assessments. These results are used to inform ongoing professional learning and development, as well as identify students who need additional support to make progress in their learning.
Students with disabilites are supported to make progress in their learning with individual learning goals, and our progress with these students is evaluated against these learning goals.
The school uses surveys to evaluate parent and student engagement and wellbeing, including the anual Student Attitudes to School Survey and Parent Opinion Survey.
We value learning at Eastbourne Primary School, and celebrate success.
