Performing Arts
Eastbourne Primary School has a proud history of providing students with a fantastic ‘hands on,’ Performing Arts Program.
All of our students receive a 50 minute weekly music lesson with a Music Specialist Teacher. They learn about music and its place in the world. Students learn to sing, dance and explore a variety of instruments including ukuleles, djembe drums, recorder, drums, guitar and piano. Students from Years 3 to 6 use a variety of technologies to create their own compositions.
We have our own school radio station in our music room, where children can play songs and present radio programs during recess and lunch times.
We also offer an expansive instrumental music program that provides students with the opportunity to hire and receive tuition on a variety of instruments. A Concert Band, Rock Band and School Choir that performs for our local community further compliments our extensive program.
Our Year 5 and 6 students present an Annual Musical in third term and all students from Foundation to Year 6 perform in our famous Christmas Concert for the whole school community.
Our Music Program aims to build confidence and nurture a love of music and performance by providing quality opportunities for our children to enjoy.
